The Granton Rotary Club celebrated its 70th anniversary with a banquet held Dec. 2, 2013 at Granton Community Center.  A total of 59 attended the event, which included a buffet-style dinner catered by Mapleworks Café.  Those attending included Rotary District 6250 District Governor Dean Ryerson, Granton Rotary Club members and family, friends of Rotary and local Granton business owners.

The highlight of the evening was Ryerson’s presentation of the 2013 Paul Harris Fellow award to Cheryl Steinbach.

Granton Rotary Club received its charter Dec. 7, 1943.  Current membership is 24 members.  The club meets every Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at the Granton Community Center (corner of West 3rd and Maple Street).
