Honoring the Heroism of
Two Local Children
On Nov. 8, an intruder entered
their home, but instead of panicking, they remained calm: Anna was able to
escape and get help.
The two children gave a great description after
the event that helped police to identify and arrest the intruder, said
Patrol Sgt. Marty Schwantes, who presented the award.
“How cool they
remained, and what they did, we have not seen adults that would have reacted
in a
situation like that,” said Schwantes.
Anna and Peter were presented with plaques made
by DJ Metalworks of Withee that read, “In recognition of exceptional valor
and courage.”
