Notes

1

Could this be the original St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin, Wisconsin?  My great grandparents Antoni(e) & Anna apparently donated the land for the Polish Independent Church of Thorp, it burned and its congregation combined with the Lublin Church.  This photo was found in a collection which also included photo #2 on this page.

This photo was found with the one above, but was and taken at a later time between 1927 - 1930 when the Malinowskis made a return visit to Thorp, WI from. The people in the back (marked with X's over them) are Tony Malinowski, wife Mary, & Anna Malinowski.  Please contact us if you can identify any of the other people in this photo.

The original copy of this photo was found in the basement of the Immanuel Evangelical & Reformed/UCC (United Church of Christ).  Elderly members of the church do not believe it was once a building on their grounds and could not identify its time frame or any of the people pictured.  We did note that similar architecture seemed to be used on the first Unity, WI High School.  We don't know if this was a church and/or school, but it does appear to have been a large building.
