ORIGINAL PAVING LOYAL, WISCONSIN'S MAIN STREET

Source: TRG--Aug. 7, 1975

These old photos belonged to Mrs. Glen Mills and were taken when the main street of Loyal, WI was first paved.

In the top photo, the man in the center who operated the steam roller is Art Kunze, father of Bob Kunze of Neillsville, who lived with the parents of Mrs. Mills.  Dave Ross, in the whiter shirt, was in charge of the paving and his wife, standing next to him, did all the cooking for the crew.

In the next photo Mr. Kunze is standing on the roller which is headed north on Loyal's main street.  Mr. Ross is standing on the right in the picture, again with two unidentified man.
