George and Alfred Burdick in 1919

Alfred Burdick and his son, George, were a part of the Lynn, Clark County, Wisconsin community during its transition from a pioneer settlement to modern times. They are pictured above in their "new fangled" automobile in front of their log cabin home in Lindsley around 1919.

Alfred James Burdick was born on 22 March 1865 at Green Lake, Wisconsin. His parents were Asa James Burdick and Martha Cornelia (Youmans) Burdick. He was a blacksmith in Lindsey WI. He married Flora Ann Kiser on 14 September 1890 at Sherman Ridge, Wisconsin. Alfred died on 1 April 1930 at Lindsey, and is buried at the Lynn Cemetery.

George Asa Burdick was born on 18 July 1891 at Mount Tabor, Wisconsin. His parents were Alfred James and Fora Ann (Kiser) Burdick. He married Gladys G. Griffin and had eleven children. George died on 12 May 1975 at Racine, Wisconsin.

George built the above car using parts from other vehicles.
