Strebe, August & Elmira / Mabel
August Strebe was born in Zeitz, Germany on June 13, 1856. At the age of 10
years he came to the United States and settled at Calumet, Wis. Several years
later he came north and settled on land east of Abbotsford.
He married Elmira Garrow April 14, 1878 and moved to Abbotsford in 1912, where
his wife died in 1913. Ten years later August Strebe married Mabel Dickenson.
August died in March 1938.
