This school building had been built in 1892-93 by Bernard Wolf (grandfather of Judeen Wolf pictured above) replacing the original log school built about 1874.Three generations had attended this one-room school; but at the end of the 1957-58 school year, the doors to the little country school were closed, concluding 65 years of readin', 'ritin', and 'rithmetic.
These were the last students. |
