Miss Joyce Graves visited friends at Loyal a few days last week.
Mrs. Fred Rossman of Loyal visited her father, Jos. Whitmore, Monday.
Mrs. J. V, Farrington spent Thanksgiving at Westboro with Mrs. Stumpf.
Mrs. E, W. Follett went to Marshfield Sunday to attend the funeral of Mrs. W. H. Upham.
Mrs. D. Bodle spent a few days at Rib Lake last week with her daughter, Mrs. Bernard Hoey. Mrs. Elizabeth Reas and grand-daughter, Lepha, returned Friday from an extended visit at Park Falls.
Misses Mary and Dora Lundahl of Dorchester spent Thanksgiving here with their sister, Mrs. F. W. Heath.
John Hoops was taken to the hospital at Marshfield Saturday and underwent an operation for appendicitis.
Mrs. Householder of Viola came last week for an extended visit at the home of her son, Rev. D. S. Householder.
Mrs. Chas. Vanderhoof and daughter and Mrs. Jos. Upson returned Monday from a weeks visit with relatives at Park Falls.
Jesse Pickett, who has been in Montana for some time is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs., Frank Pickett, in the town of Unity.
Rev. A. S. Bender, district superintendent of Eau Claire spoke in the M. E. Church Sunday evening and conducted the first quarterly conference Monday.
Mrs. Meacham, (Lyman Russell) Sr. died suddenly last Wednesday at the home of her son John. She was seventy-eight years old and one of the pioneer settlers of that neighborhood. Heart failure was the direct cause of her death. The funeral was held at the house Friday afternoon, Rev. Householder officiating, and interment was made in the Spencer cemetery.
