Darrell Thorson, 62, 715 S. Fifth Ave., Wausau, died at his home at 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Helke West Chapel, with the Rev. Herbert Praeuner of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.

Mr. Thorson was born May 20, 1916, son of Cloyde Thorson, Bridgeport, Conn., and Ruth Deichsel, 500 Grand Ave., Wausau. On June 25, 1949, in Symco, he married Jeanette Flink, who survives. He was a retired salesman for J. C. Penney Co., and worked there for 31 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army, and was a member of the VFW.

Surviving besides his wife and parents are a daughter Cheryl, at home; and a son, Thor, Fort Bragg, Calif.
