Friday, 26 Mar. 1958 ----Svec, Emma (25 Jan. 1881 – 21 Mar. 1958) STRATFORD – Mrs. John Svec, 77, town of Eau Pleine resident, died Thursday at the Bethel Convalescent Home at Arpin after a two-year illness. She had been a patient there since December. Funeral services will be at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in March Rapids, where the body will lie in state from 11 a.m. that day until the time of services. Beginning Saturday afternoon friends may call at the Sauter Funeral Home here. The Rev. Alfred Pautsch, pastor, will officiate at the final rites. Committal will take place in the town of Brighton cemetery. Mrs. Svec was born Emma Berger Jan. 25, 1881, in Manitowoc county. She and Mr. Svec were married in Chicago in 1903. He died Jan. 25, 1952. Until moving to Bethel, Mrs. Svec had lived in Eau Pleine township for 41 years. She is survived by two sons, Ervin, town of Eau Pleine, and John, Oak Park, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Beatrice) Farr, Mundelin, Ill., Mrs. Earl (Emma) Kaeser, Tomahawk, and Mrs. Albert (Georgianna) Nylen, Wausau; one sister, Mrs. Frank Opichka, Wausau; three brothers, Emil of Maribel, Frank of Whitelaw and Anton of Manitowoc; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. *** Note: Her date of death is from the Brigton Cemetery Index, Unity, Marathon County, Wisconsin. |
