Surnames: Schwantes ----Source: Marshfield News (Wood Co., Wis.) 28 Sept. 1899, p1 col 3 ----Schwantes, Augusta (26 Mar. 1851 – 24 Sept. 1899) Death at Spencer Augusta, wife of William Schwantes, died at the family residence in Spencer last Sunday at the age of 47 years. She was afflicted with a recurring abdominal tumor and was twice operated on at the St. Joseph’s hospital in this city. The body was taken to Marion, Wis., her former home, for burial.
