(10 May 1939 – 24 Mar. 2009) STRATFORD -- Patrick R. Lyons, 69, of Stratford died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Saint Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28 at Rembs Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas Rudolph officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery in Rozellville. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by the American Legion Post No. 54 of Marshfield. Family will receive relatives and friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and again Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until services time, all at Rembs Funeral Home. Pat was born May 10, 1939, in Flint, Mich., to Joseph and Gwendolyn (Almand) Lyons. He served in the U.S. Army from Feb. 26, 1959, until his honorable discharge April 5, 1962. He was united in marriage to Elaine C. Peterson on Jan. 16, 1965, in Grand Blanc, Mich. They farmed in the town of McMillan and he was a milk hauler. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Pat is survived by his wife Elaine; children, Michael P. (Lisa) Lyons of Loyal, Gregory J. (Stacey) Lyons of Stratford, Kelly J. (Dean) Kress of Marshfield, and Theodore E. Lyons of Plymouth, Minn.; and eight grandchildren. He is further survived by a brother, John D. (Linda) Lyons of Daleville, Va.; and a sister, Barbara Jo (David Sr.) Lamb, of Fenton, Mich. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Beaty.
