Wednesday, 30 Dec. 1992 ----Klein, Raymond Otto (18 June 1916 – 29 Dec. 1992) SPENCER – Raymond Otto Klein, 76, Spencer, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, North Spencer, with the Rev. David Ault officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, North Spencer. Pallbearers will be Rue Burnett, Lloyd Helsten, Ronald Klein, Scott Krause, Thomas Krause and Matthew Schmidt. Visitation will be at Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, after 4 p.m. today. He was born June 18, 1916, in the town of Brighton, Marathon County, to the late Edward and Leona (Manthe) Klein. He attended Harding Grade School in the town of Brighton and Spencer High School. He married Marian Neumann Nov. 29, 1944, at St. John’s Lutheran Church. After his marriage, he worked at Stock-Gro in Marshfield. He then farmed in the town of Brighton from 1945-73. He later drove school bus for Rue Burnett and was employed at the Marshfield Canning Co. for many years. He retired in 1980 because of ill health, but continued to reside on the farm until the time of his death. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Patrick (Lois) Haley of Lakeville, Minn.; two brothers, Gerhard and Walter, both of Spencer; two sisters, Mrs. Fritz (Edna) Lau of Marshfield and Mrs. Gladys Geigner of California; and one grandson. He was predeceased by one brother.
