Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2004, at St. John's Lutheran Church in North Spencer. The Rev. Rebekah Jorstad will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, North Spencer. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Maurina Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Lucille was born Jan. 5, 1922, in Milan to Herman and Agnes (Zepping) Brunner. She attended Milan area schools. Lucille married Harvey Hoffmann in 1942, and they were later divorced. She then married Martin Bruss on Oct. 9, 1970. He preceded her in death. Lucille farmed, worked for Weinbrenner Shoe Factory and for Wick Homes. She enjoyed crafts, crossword puzzles, crocheting and playing cards. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and TOPS. Lucille is survived by her children, Dale (Audrey) Hoffmann of Edgar, Lonnie (Judy) Hoffmann of Tomahawk, Nancy Hoffmann of Medford, and Patsy Strebig of Medford; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth (Charles) Vanderhoof of Colby. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin; one grandson; three sisters; and her stepfather, Walter Kohnhorst. |
