Pape, 74, formerly of Sigel, was called home to the Lord on Good Friday, April 10, 2009. Funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Milwaukee, with the Rev. Christian Wood officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Jean was a retired children's librarian for the Milwaukee Public Library System. She also was an avid quilter, knitter, reader and volunteer in church activities. She was the beloved sister-in-law of Geraldine Pape; dear aunt of Paula (Norbert) Trucks-Pape, Pamela (Mark) Schroeder and Patrice (Tom) Dorsey; great-aunt of Elias, Ella and Liam; and best friend of Polly Ann Herte and family. Jean also is survived by cousins other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Pape, and her brother Richard Pape.
