(19 Feb. 1930 - 2009) STRATFORD -- James P. Weber, 79, Stratford, died Sunday, April 12, 2009, at the House of the Dove Hospice Home, Marshfield. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Weber, 79, Stratford, died Sunday, April 12, 2009, at the House of the Dove Hospice Home, Marshfield. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford. The Rev. Thomas Rudolph will officiate, and music will be provided by St. Joseph's Resurrection Choir. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery in the town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County. The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Joseph's Church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time. Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Mr. Weber was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Stratford to Peter and Katherine (Schroepfer) Weber. He attended St. Joseph's Parochial School, Stratford, and was a 1948 graduate of Stratford High School. As a young man, Jim had worked with his father farming and well-drilling. He then was employed at the Allington Store, Stratford, Kolbeck Trucking, Rozellville, and Paul Wrensch Construction. He also co-owned and operated Stratford Bowling Alley and lastly retired from Stratford Building Supply. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing immensely and was an avid sports fan; he enjoying basketball, football and baseball. He is survived by a brother, Donald (Alvina) Weber of Stratford. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and by a special niece and godchild, Mary Schutz of Stratford. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Arthur and Arnold Weber; and three sisters, Eleanor Simmons, Marian Bradley and Cathryn Marx. Memorials may be designated in his name to St. Joseph's Parish or St. Joseph's School, Stratford. |
