Funeral services were held Saturday, May 23, 2009 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3200 N. Mountain Rd, Wausau. She was born April 1, 1925, in Athens, daughter of the late William and Alma (Brown) Becker. In 1958, she married Ewald Lehrmann. He preceded her in death Oct. 16, 2003. Leona worked as a housekeeper for Fromm Bros. in Hamburg and then as a nurses aide at the former Mount View Manor. She loved polka music, embroidering, doing word searches, and baking -- especially homemade cinnamon rolls and doughnuts. Survivors include her seven children, Anna (Robert) Anderson, Vermont, Helen (Philip) Bickley, Wausau, Dale Lehrmann, Wausau, Dawn (Ed) Wodalski, Rothschild, and Karen Lehrmann, Wausau, Karl Lehrmann, Wausau, and Lynette (Randy) Lehman, Wausau; nine grandchildren, Carl (April) Anderson, New Hampshire, Michael Anderson, both of Vermont, Nicole (Tony) Marble, Wauwatosa, Lori (fiancé, Matt) Anderson, Vermont, Michael (fiancé, Chelse) Wodalski, Rothschild, Jennifer Lehrmann and Christopher Lehrmann, both of Wausau, Kimberlie Lehrmann, Mosinee, and Benjamin Lehman, Wausau; four great grandchildren, Alexis Anderson, Hunter Bishop, Chase Anderson and Eli Marble; one sister, Hilda Grell, Merrill; and other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Ewald, she was preceded in death by a son, James Conant; sister, Bertha Procknow; an infant brother; and brother, Henry Becker. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church, 3200 N. Mountain Road, Wausau. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church. Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
