MARATHON COUNTY, Wis. 1881

This place, called Mozinee by the natives, is
at the head of slack water, above Stevens Point, at what is called
Little Bull Falls. Cate & Dessert had a saw-mill here in its early
history. Joseph Dessert’s mill cuts 8,000,000 a year; Lawrence &
Peters, 4,000,000. It has 300 inhabitants.
