HISTORY OF NORTHERN WISCONSIN 

MARATHON COUNTY, Wis. 1881

 


 

This place, called Mozinee by the natives, is at the head of slack water, above Stevens Point, at what is called Little Bull Falls. Cate & Dessert had a saw-mill here in its early history. Joseph Dessert’s mill cuts 8,000,000 a year; Lawrence & Peters, 4,000,000. It has 300 inhabitants.
