Pamida donates to

Neillsville School District

The Pamida Foundation will write a $750 check to the Neillsville School District to enhance various learning programs for its students.

Continuing its mission to support the education of youth in Pamida communities, the Pamida Foundation proudly announced its 2009 donation of $158,800 to local schools.

This generous donation will be divided and then distributed to schools or organizations in the communities that Pamida serves.  Community Pamida stores selected schools and organizations in their area to receive donation dollars.  The funds will be used to help maintain quality education.

“The foundation firmly believes that education is essential to our communities’ well-being,” said Pamida Foundation Executive Director Jessica Strohman.  “Schools have the ability to impact and inspire so many in a positive way.  It is the foundation’s hope that students, in return, will go on to make positive contributions to the communities in which they live and work. We’d also like to thank our vendor partners and Pamida employees for their generous support of our Foundation during 2009.  With their donations, we’re able to make this incredible contribution to our hometowns.”

In addition to education, the Pamida Foundation’s mission also focuses on health and social services.  Each year, the foundation provides assistance to individuals with disabilities, the underprivileged and families in need through food pantries, gift-tree programs and donations to other non-profit organizations in Pamida communities.

Overall, the Pamida Foundation supports over 900 local charitable organizations.
