The Sunday School
This department of St. John’s congregation was organized on Sunday, June 2, 1929, by the present pastor with seven teachers and an enrollment of over a hundred pupils. The Sunday School as a missionary agency has brought many blessings to the church and school. It assists in gathering children for the Christian Day School and confirmation classes.
When the congregation commemorated the four hundredth anniversary of the publication of Luther’s Catechism, the Sunday School presented a costly bulletin board in memory of that day.
Mr. Paul Bartell was our first Sunday School superintendent, and for the last two years, Mr. E. Sievert has held this important position.
The Jubilee gift of the Sunday School is the sum of fifty dollars.
