George Rossmann

First Generation

 

1. George1 Rossmann, son of Ludwig Rossmann and LOuisa Catharina Ebling, was born in Tn. Rhine, Sheboygan Co., Wis. March 24, 1854.

He married Anna Kissinger in Plymouth, Wis., January 1, 1876. Civil ceremony at the home of Ludwig & Catharine Rossman in the Village of Plymouth.

Anna was born in Tn. Rhine, Sheboygan Co., Wis. April 15, 1859. She was the daughter of Phillip Kissinger and Anna Kissinger.

Anna died April 17, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, at 73 years of age.

OBITUARY - CHICAGO DAILY NEWS, Tuesday, April 19, 1932

ROSSMAN --Annie Rossman of 7203 Langley Av, beloved wife of the late George, loving mother of Fred and Will, sister of Mrs Mary Nauth, Mrs Kate Buchman, William and Fred Kissinger. Funeral Wednesday, April 20, at 2 pm from late residence. Interment Oakwoods.

George Rossmann died July 18, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois, at 60 years of age.

OBITUARY - CHICAGO DAILY NEWS, Sat July 18, 1914, page 17 –

Rossman, George, 5918 Emerald Ave, beloved husband of Annie Rossman, father of Fred and William Rossman. Funeral Tuesday, 1 pm, by carriage to Oakwood cemetery.

George Rossmann and Anna Kissinger had the following children:

2 i. Fred2 Rossmann was born in Sheboygan Co., Wis. October 1876. Living in Chicago in 1900 census. Living with mother in Chicago in 1920 & 1930 census.

3 ii. William Rossmann was born in Chicago, Illinois April 1878. Not found in the 1920 or 1930 Illinois census.
