City donates to Highground project
Neillsville Mayor Diane Murphy (l) on behalf of the city of Neillsville, presents Highground Volunteer General Manager Kirk Rodman with a $1,500 check. The funds will used to help complete a Fountain of Tears project.
The city of Neillsville donated $1,500 to The Highground to help complete a Mediation Garden project at the park.
Neillsville Mayor Diane Murphy, on behalf of the city of Neillsville, recently presented Highground Volunteer General Manager Kirk Rodman with the check to support educational and healing programs at The Highground.
The funds will be used to lay sod and blacktop the access road to the Mediation Garden, which will complete the Fountain of Tears project. ?The city of Neillsville has always been very supportive of our efforts, and we appreciate that,? said Rodman.
The Highground brings over 200,000 visitors to Clark County each year.
?The Highground is an asset to our community, and we are excited about celebrating the 25th anniversary in 2009,? said Murphy.
The Fountain of Tears Statuary will be dedicated Memorial Day, observed Monday, May 25. Everyone is invited to attend the 1 p.m. dedication.
