Friends of Highground Dinner Held
The Friends of The Highground Dinner was held Saturday, Feb. 28, at Fannie?s Supper Club.
The social hour began at 5 p.m. with dinner following at 6 p.m. Invitations were mailed to volunteers who donated their time, equipment and/or dollars totaling over $1,000 in 2008.
Highground Volunteer and General Manager Kirk Rodman welcomed guests. A Volunteer Jerry Smith gave the invocation.
Following a family-style dinner for attendees, The Highground staff gave a special thanks to those whose generous support they deeply appreciated. As part of the mission of healing and education, The Highground also recognized those whose spirit touches them and makes The Highground special.
This year, the Spirit of the Highground Award was presented to two special men, who made a difference in the lives of many. Jim Hauge and Harold Heiser went the extra mile.

The Highground is not about what people see it?s about what they don?t see: the hundreds of volunteers working to make The Highground a welcome home for all veterans and visitors.
Mark calendars for April 22 through 25 to enjoy the company of good friends and share in the satisfaction of a job well done during the annual Spring Work Weekend.
Volunteers and contributors are the heart of The Highground. The Highground?s mission is healing and education. The Highground is a place for everyone.
