Fifth-graders attend Highground Education Days

 

 

Warm temperatures and sunny skies welcomed 621 fifth-graders to The Highground?s Education Days, held Tuesday, Oct. 5, and Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010. 

 

Attending schools included Colby Elementary, St. Mary?s of Colby, Abby Elementary, Greenwood Elementary, St. Mary?s of Greenwood, Loyal Elementary, St. Anthony?s of Loyal, Neillsville Elementary, Owen-Withee Elementary, Thorp Elementary, St. Bernard?s of Thorp, Stanley Elementary, Lincoln Elementary and Augusta Elementary.

 

The Clark County Area Veterans? Council welcomed students at the flag pole, where they recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang The National Anthem.

 

The Highground staff gave students an educational tour of The Highground.  The Clark County Area Veterans Council then provided students with milk and cookies, as well as a small flag.

 

The students also received hands-on experience about flag etiquette and learned how to fold and handle the American flag.

 

?Our mission is healing and education. The Highground is a place for all of us.?
