Guests gathered near the Korean Tribute at The Highground for a Flag Day Celebration and Korean Stone ceremony Saturday, June 11.
Neillsville Boy Scout Troop 43, Neillsville Cub Scout Pack 43 and volunteers marched behind flags Neillsville American Legion Post 73 presented during the Flag Day Celebration. A total of 32 Native American flags were place on the plaza to honor Flag Day.
No better symbol of the country’s values and traditions exists than the United States of America’s flag. The flag’s proud stars and stripes have long inspired its people; the flag’s beautiful red, white and blue design is known around the world as a beacon of liberty and justice.
The flag’s 13 red and white stripes represent not only the original colonies but also the courage and purity of the nation, while its 50 stars stand for the separate – but united – states of the union.
Pledge allegiance to this flag to declare patriotism and raise its colors high to express pride and respect for the American way of life.
Judy Morrow and David Bedell organized the scouts, who added a special touch to the celebration.
