Flagpole donated to The Highground

The Highground now has a new 50-foot flagpole for the Learning Center thanks to a donation from Princeton’s Gagne Ford Body Shop.
Highway 23 improvements between Green Lake and Princeton meant the removal of a flagpole over 50 feet tall in front of Gagne Ford Body Shop in Princeton.
Gagne Ford Body Shop owner Dan Gagne contacted local veteran organizations, intending to donate it to one of them. The pole’s size was too large for those organizations use, but Gagne learned The Highground may be able to use the pole at the Learning Center.
A call to Highground Volunteer General Manager Kirk Rodman put everything into motion; The Highground was pleased to receive the donation.
Rodman made some calls to his “go-to” contacts. Millis Transfer of Black River Falls arranged to transport the flagpole from Princeton to Neillsville. John Jachtober of Jachtober Roofing in Princeton donated the use of his crane to remove the pole and get it to the ground for loading.
Plans are being made to set the flagpole at the Learning Center with a dedication ceremony at its completion. The Highground recognized everyone involved who provided this addition to the grounds.
