Highground holds Fun Run Ceremony

The replica Liberty Bell tolled as motorcycles rode into The Highground Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, ending their Fun Run Ride, which began at St. Croix Harley Davidson.

Volunteers recited the Pledge of Allegiance; Miles Voss sang The National Anthem. Volunteer General Manager Kirk Rodman welcomed guests; and Fort McCoy Chaplain Tom Shepard gave the invocation.

In keeping with a promise made in 2003, the names of the Wisconsin soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan were read.  Visitors joined a talking circle and talked about their beloved veterans.

The Fun Run riders were treated with lunch after the ceremony.  Every one had a good day.
