The Highground to be at Lambeau Field

 

It?s finally here ? LZ Lambeau at Lambeau Field in Green Bay from Friday, May 21, to Sunday, May 23.

 

LZ Lambeau is welcoming home Wisconsin?s Vietnam veterans.  The Highground will be in the atrium presenting Vietnam veterans with the new Fragments patch. Tickets are available at The Highground for the LZ Lambeau event.

 

Thursday: Moving Wall dedication at 4 p.m. at Lambeau Field.

 

Friday: LZ Lambeau opens to the public at 1 p.m.; Motorcycle Honor Ride from La Crosse arrives at 2 p.m.; music stage begins at 3 p.m.; blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the old Packer Hall of Fame.

 

Saturday: aircraft exhibit at Austin Straubel International Airport in Green Bay from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; grounds to LZ Lambeau will open to the public at 9 a.m.; atrium (museum exhibits and Portrait Gallery) opens at 9 a.m.; music stage runs from noon to 6 p.m.; blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at old Packer Hall of Fame; Tribute Ceremony in Lambeau Field at 7:30 p.m. (seating begins at 5:30 p.m.).

 

Sunday: Exhibits at Lambeau open at 9 a.m.; ecumenical service at 10 a.m.; grounds of LZ Lambeau close at 3 p.m.; ?Wiping of the Tears? Ceremony at Oneida National Vet Memorial Wall ? 3:30 p.m. open to all veterans; closing ceremonies for Moving Wall at 4 p.m.

 

LZ Lambeau will feature a special evening tribute inside Green Bay?s Lambeau Field honoring and thanking Wisconsin?s Vietnam veterans while offering a warm welcome home many never received.  The ceremony will include music, aerial fly-bys, presentations and premiere segments of the forthcoming Wisconsin Vietnam War Stories documentary.

 

The event will also include a special memorial to the 1,244 people from Wisconsin who were killed in action in Vietnam or are still missing in action.
