The Highground Legacy Stone and Korean Stone Ceremony Aug. 27th
Saturday, August 27, a combined Legacy Stone and Korean Stone Placement Ceremony, was held at The Highground. Many families enjoyed the surroundings on a bright sunny day while honoring their stone recipient.
Harley Davidson Tomahawk Operations purchased a stone to honor all their employees who are active veterans.
The Harley Davidson Tomahawk Operations plant purchased a stone to “Honor Our Veterans.” They announced during the talking circle they have 56 employees that are active veterans (16 percent of their employees), and they are proud of them all. What an awesome tribute to recognize the veterans within their work environment.

The Eddy Family, Neillsville, purchased a stone to honor all Eddy family members, those past and present, for their service to the country. What a great group came to celebrate and express words of appreciation for their many family friends.
William Young III holds the Korean Tribute Stone for Colby veteran William Young Jr.
Colby veterans, William Young Jr. received a Korean Tribute Stone with his family around him, while William young III received a Legacy Stone for his years of service.
Roger Empey, Abbotsford, a Vietnam veteran, had the honors of “Harvesting the Earth” for this ceremony. His family also presented Empey with a Legacy Stone and spoke proudly of him.
Stone Placement Ceremonies are scheduled each month, April through October. The public is welcome to attend these touching ceremonies and experience the warmth of The Highground visitors.
