The Sept 11 Legacy Stone Ceremony brought The Highground?s founder, Tom Miller, and his family back to The Highground.
Miller helped his brother and brother-in-law place their Legacy Stones in the west walkway with their families. Miller was also asked to say a few words at the beginning of the day?s ceremony.
During the talking circle, Miller gave a ?thumbs up? to The Highground for its Learning Center and how his ?vision? is coming to fruition.
Families from many areas placed 27 stones on the west walkway. The last stone settings for the year will be held Oct. 2 at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Applications were already submitted for 2011, as placement ceremonies resume April 16, 2011.
It looks like the west walkway could be completed with its Legacy Stones in 2011. The Highground thanks all who contributed and participated in this year?s ceremonies. Contributors and volunteers are the heart of The Highground.
?The Highground is a place for all of us.?
