The year’s last stone placement was held at The Highground Saturday, Oct. 3.

Weather did not dampen anyone’s spirits, as many enjoyed the Saturday ceremonies.

A Legacy Stone was place honoring John Daum, a paratrooper whose last jump was D-Day; he is buried in France.  As a surprise to Charles Stumpner, a Vietnam Veteran who placed Daum’s stone, his family presented him his own stone to be placed with their Uncle John.  Family enjoyed the day at the park with their celebration placement.

2010 Stone Placements are being registered and planned. The next stone placement ceremony will be held April 17, 2010.
