Leveling for the Legion
The real groundbreaking for the new Neillsville American Legion Hall and Community Center got underway on Monday. By Tuesday morning, (above) Boon Construction, with Jason Boon at the controls of the bulldozer, had removed the top soil from the three-acre lot along Boon Boulevard on Neillsville’s south side as another bulldozer was standing by waiting for re-fueling. The future 76x152-foot facility with a 400-person capacity banquet hall to be erected in the foreground is projected to be completed in about four months. A large parking lot will be built in the back area of the lot.
