To my successor: There are then following on trial in 6th Grade next year: Howard Hause in Arithmetic, Ida Johnson, Arithmetic, Dewey Manville in
Arithmetic, Leslie Perschke Raeding and Physiology.  I think Dewey, Howard and Ida may if they work hard keep up in Arithmetic in the 6th Grade,
but it is very difficult for them to understand.  Oscar Ewert is on trial in 5th Grade in Arithmetic and Spelling, he is poor in both, he can get it if
he tries, he like to play and needs to be watched.  Oscar Flink is promoted on trial in Arithmetic to 4th Grade, he can keep up with the 4th Grade
with a little help, a great boy to play.  Vera Anderson has been here only about 2 weeks, she can do work of 3rd grade, I think, although it will
be very hard for her, especially Arithmetic. Spelling and Language she can do fairly well in.  Gladys Jones is a great pupil to pout and I have found through
experience that it is wise not to tolerate her options.  Wishing you success and a pleasant year, I am
  Respectfully,
  Clara S. Brown
