Coloring Contest Winners with the organizer of it, Dolores Zukowski. | The Main address was given by American Legion State Vice Commander, Don Schindler, who told the mythical story of "Taps". | History Buff, Carol Mitte, spoke of her own Civil War ancestor, Sylvanus Warner. |
Three TV cameras rolled during the event! | American Legion Bugler, Junior Vanderhyden | Spokesman for the Civil War Re-Enactors |
The Cannon used by the Re-Enactors | Re-Enactors Fired the Cannon which actually shook the ground all 3 times it was shot. | Anyone in Thorp who wasn't at the event most certainly knew we were! Afterwards, children scrambled to retrieve shells from the firing of the muskets. |
