Nolechek Meats Receives Top Honors

Nolechek Meats

In Madison on April 13 and 14, Nolechek Meats of Thorp was recognized at the 68th annual convention of the Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors. Nolechek Meats took home a Champion award for their pork and chicken loaf and a Reserve Champion award for skinless wieners.

This year 870 individual products in 36 product categories were entered in the competition: Including summer sausage, bratwurst, ham, bacon, smoked poultry and a variety of other types of meat products. Individual products are scored for external appearance and eye-appeal, internal appearance, aroma, and taste, using a scale of up to 1,000 points.Over 40 judges including food scientists, out-of-state meat processors, and other food-industry professionals evaluated entry products.
