Steven Burzynski, son of Bernard and Darlene Burzynski, has recently accepted the TechPoint MIRA Award for New Media Excellence and Innovation in Indianapolis, Indiana, beating out over 160 entries, including ExactTarget.com, Indy500.com and OnCars.com.

A 1986 graduate of Thorp High School, Burzynski started up his IMAVEX Web design and marketing company in a garage office – humble beginnings for one of the only small, local businesses that have been able to keep growing amid the economic downturn.  IMAVEX is expecting to post roughly $3 million in revenue this year, which is about 40 percent increase from 2009.  Now with 25 employees and more than 1,500 customers, Burzynski’s company, based out of Indianapolis, Indiana, has developed its own technology for its Internet Web site development marketing efforts.

Because of his innovative and forward-thinking efforts, Burzynski was recognized by the MIRA Awards, which specifically looked at the innovative and successful nature of the growing company.  IMAVEX was awarded the winner in the New Media Excellence and Innovation category, which recognizes the company’s partnership with Limelight Networks, a global leader in video content deliver, to develop and launch a white-label video content management system called STREAMOTOR that allows users to upload a video in any format encode the video and re-format the video for different functions.  STREAMOTOR can be used to create bumper ads and trailers, publish video to social media sites, to embed watermarks and display tracking phone numbers for marketing campaigns.

“We beat out some strong competition,” said Burzynski.  “This is a huge win in recognition for us, our product, and to promote our new partnership/relationship with Limelight Networks.”
