John McGrogan expects to harvest about 2,200 bushels of potatoes from
his five acre field. J. T. Agin killed a two year old black bear
near his place north of the village on Sunday last. Corn is out
of all danger from frost in this vicinity and the quality and quantity
beats all previous records. A warehouse where our farmers could
dispose of surplus farm products, grain and potatoes, is an institution
sadly needed in this village. Thousands of bushels of grain and
potatoes could be purchased here at exceedingly low prices this fall.
