Snyder’s. Frank Switalski and family, who moved to Globeville,
Colorado, last Jan., returned here last week to reside. Haying
is delayed considerably by threatening weather and frequent showers.
Many will not finish their crop until the latter part of this week.
The crop is immense. Thos. Steele, Jr. manager of the big N. W.
Lumber Cos Farm four miles south of the village has completed the job of
putting up 300 tons of hay on that place, the crop being a fair one.
A one hundred acre field of oats on the same farm also promises an
excellent yield. By the way wouldn’t it be in order for some one
of our business men to handle the product of the farm in this vicinity
this fall? Present indications point to a large surplus in the way
of hay, oats, barley, rye, beans, peas, etc. and a ready market is
something the farmer wants. 75 Years Ago (1922)
