John Gardner
December 1895 - February 12/13, 1897
This grave (marked J.G.) may be that of an infant son of John Gardner. Clark County records (Death Records, Volume 2, Page 53) indicate that John Gardner, a 1-year-old son of John and Rose (nee Greeley) Gardner, died of pneumonia on February 13, 1897 in the Township of Loyal and was buried in York Center, Wisconsin. In addition, the February 17, 1897 issue of the Republican and Press indicates the following:
The 14-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Gardner died last Friday (12 February 1897) of pneumonia, and was buried in the York Cemetery Sunday (14 February 1897) from the M.E. Church, Rev. Knudson officiating.
