Ray Hetzel
June 23, 1918 - April 18, 1987
A son of George and Mary (nee McKimm) Hetzel,[i] Ray Hetzel was a resident of York Township. It is believed that Mary Hetzel was the daughter of Joseph McKimm, who in turn was a son of Samuel and Isabella McKimm, early pioneers of York Township. The 1900 Federal Census for Clark County lists a Joseph McKimm living in York Township with his wife Anna and several children including a daughter, Mary (2). Ray Hetzel lived on a farm in Section 21. Adonijah Benedict, a pioneer of York Township and a Civil War veteran originally owned that particular farm. Ray Hetzel married the former Lucy Krutsch.
