Infant Child Lawrence
Died December 1899
The January 4, 1900 issue of the Republican and Press indicates that the two-month-old baby of Mr. and Mrs. M.W. Lawrence (Melvin and Bertha Lawrence) “died last Sunday and that the funeral was held at the M.E. Church on Tuesday.” It is presumed that the child was buried in the same plot that Melvin and Bertha (nee Gardner) Lawrence are buried. Melvin Lawrence was a son of Horace A. Lawrence and his first wife, the former Lorinda Windsor (a daughter of Anson Windsor). Horace A. Lawrence was a Civil War veteran and a pioneer of York Township.
