Emmery Osgood
September 25, 1823 - March 17, 1909
Clark County records indicate that Emmery Osgood died in the Township of York on March 17, 1908 at the age of 85 years, 5 months, 22 days and was buried in York Center cemetery.[i] He was born in Vermont, the son of a Charles Osgood. Charles O. Osgood was the informant. The 1905 Clark County Census lists an E. B. Osgood (81) living with his wife, Mary L. (64), and his son, Charles O. (34). Since records show that Plot E-13 is owned by C. Osgood, it is believed that Emmery Osgood (Charles O. Osgood's father) is buried there. The 1893 and 1906 plat map of York Township show an E. B. Osgood owning forty acres in Section 30.
