Wallace Rounseville
December 21, 1855 - March 26, 1934
(Samuel) Wallace Rounseville was an early resident of York Township who probably came to Clark County in the early 20th century. He was born in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin; a son of Samuel and Nancy Ann (nee Kittell) Rounseville.[i] A plat map from the 1920s shows a S. W. Rounseville owning 120 acres in Section 22. A 1906 plat map shows that Elmer Dennis formerly owned part of this land. Several of the Dennis children are buried in the York Center Cemetery. Wallace Rounseville was a brother/brother-in-law to Esther and Frank Bradbury, who were Aura Benedict’s parents and are also buried in York Center Cemetery.
