Abie
Turner was a son of Abel and Arvilla (nee Thompson)
Turner, early pioneers of
York Township. He married Hattie Lindsley, a daughter of
George and Sarah
(nee Lawrence) Lindsley. Sarah
Lindsley was a daughter of Jesse and Almeda (nee Benedict)
Lawrence, who were
also pioneers of York. Abie and
Hattie Turner’s children include Grant Turner,
Price Turner, George
Turner,
Birdeen Turner, Clayton Turner, and Harriet
Triska.
Two of his brothers, William "Pint" and
Ben are also buried at
York Center Cemetery.
