Marjorie P. Bloomquist
Marjorie P. Bloomquist, 85, of Golden Valley, Minn., died Sunday, March 25, 2007, at North Memorial Medical Center Hospice, Minneapolis, Minn.
Marjorie was born Sept. 26, 1921, in Minneapolis, Minn., daughter of the late Peder and Helen Pedersen Langvand. She married Roy R. Bloomquist on Dec. 17, 1945. He survives.
Marjorie and her husband were members of Calvary Lutheran Church, Golden Valley, Minn. Marjorie served her country during World War II as a Wave in the United States Navy, stationed in Seattle, Wash. Marjorie received a degree in music from the University of Minnesota. She was a homemaker and gave piano lessons at her home. She also taught her children to play the piano. Marjorie was involved in the Israel cause and had many Jewish acquaintances.
Survivors include her husband The Rev. Roy R. Bloomquist, Golden Valley, Minn.; daughter Beth (Steve) Sarset, Omaha, Neb.; son Daniel (Terri), Minneapolis, Minn.; granddaughter Sarah Sarset, Omaha, Neb.; step-granddaughter Stephanie Sarset, Mason City, Iowa; and sister Pauline (Keith) Williams, Grand Junction, Colo.
She was preceded in death by sister Doris Berggrin.
Graveside services were Wednesday, March 28, at Merrill Memorial Park. Marjorie's husband, The Rev. Roy R. Bloomquist, officiated. A memorial service will take place at a later date at Calvary Lutheran Church, Golden Valley, Minn.
The Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the family.
Her witness for Jesus is in the following hymn: "All that I have, is in Jesus. All that I lack, He supplies. I live not, tis He that liveth in me. And I am complete in Him."
