Katie Lynn Schmidt and Brian Robert Kufahl announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride to be is the daughter of Mike and Lee Harbath, Merrill, and Paul and Terri Schmidt, Pelican Lake. The prospective groom is the son of Pam Kufahl, Merrill, and Robert and Debbie Kufahl, Merrill.

Katie is a 2003 graduate of Merrill High School. She is employed at Church Mutual Insurance Company in Merrill. Brian is a 1996 graduate of Merrill High School. He is employed at Greenheck Fan Corp. in Schofield.

They have set a Sept. 29, 2007, wedding date.
