Robert P. Tesch
Robert P. Tesch, 86, of Oconomowoc, formerly of Merrill, died Sunday, April 29, 2007, at his home.
Born in Wauwatosa on March 10, 1921, Robert was the son of the late William and Ethel Cameron Tesch. He married Joyce Eckerle on Sept. 4, 1954. She died on Dec. 21, 2000.
Robert graduated from Merrill High School in 1939. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945 in the 48th Financial Disbursement Section. He spent time in the Philippines and Italy and earned the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. Robert continued his education at Marquette University and graduated in 1948 with a BA in business administration. In 1954, he married Joyce Eckerle in Merrill. Robert was president of Merrill Manufacturing Corporation. After retirement, he and Joyce enjoyed traveling. Robert also loved to golf.
Survivors include his daughter Margaret (Mark) Lewek, Oconomowoc; son William, Jefferson; grandchildren Erin Leigh Tesch and Alexander William Tesch, both of Oconomowoc; and many friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Marie.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 5, 10 a.m., at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Don King will officiate. Visitation will be Friday evening, 4-8 p.m. and again Saturday morning, 9 a.m. to the hour of services, at the funeral home.
