Pamela Jean Thurs and Kory Michael Knaack announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

The prospective bride is the daughter of Lyle and Susan Thurs, Athens. The future groom is the son of Barbara Knaack and the late Ronald Knaack, Appleton.

Pamela is a graduate of UW Oshkosh with a degree in medical technology. She is currently a lead medical technologist at Aurora Health Center, De Pere. Kory is a graduate of Fox Valley Technical College with a degree in auto body technology. He is employed at TJ's Auto Body in Freedom.

An Oct. 6, 2007, wedding is planned in Appleton.
