Myrtle G. Bluhm
Myrtle G. Bluhm, 86, formerly of Wausau, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill.
Myrtle was born Dec. 29, 1920, in the town of Frankfort, Marathon County, daughter of the late William and Louise Syring Ballerstein. On Jan. 14, 1939, she married Otto Bluhm in Wausau. He preceded her in death.
Myrtle along with her husband owned and operated Rib Mountain Box Company. she was then employed at Marathon Rubber, later owned a traveling arcade in Tip Top Shows, and lastly had been employed at Connor Forest Industries, retiring in 1980.
Surviving are her daughters Eileen (Lloyd) Grande, Rib Mountain; and Ivanette "Ivy" (Norm) Brunner, Merrill; son Gene O. (Judi), Wausau; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; three step- great-great-grandchildren; and sister Imgard Springer, Wausau. She was preceded in death by her husband Otto; granddaughter Taine Bluhm; and sister Norma Ballerstein.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Our Savior's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wausau. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. The Peterson/ Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau, handled the arrangements. Online condolences at www.petersonkraemer.com.
