Lee Ann Lyon
Lee Ann Linden Lyon, 76, of Merrill, died Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill, under Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice.
Born in Antigo on May 21, 1931, Lee Ann was the daughter of the late Arnold and Bernice Jansen Linden. She married John Lyon on Oct. 10, 1953, in Antigo. He survives.
Lee Ann graduated from Antigo High School. She had worked at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill for eight years. While Lee Ann's children were raising their children and working, Lee Ann would step in as babysitter and meal provider. She was a faithful member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Merrill where she spent many hours. Lee Ann enjoyed reading, cooking, going to church, and especially spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband John, Merrill; daughters Jole (Alan Lupton) Hinz, Liz Mathis and Lori (Joel) Ruprecht, all of Merrill; son John M. (Arleen Cates) Lyon, Henderson, Nev.; grandchildren Andrew (Jennah) Lyon, Paul Mathis, Matthew and Tyler Hinz and Molly Ruprecht, all of Merrill; step-great-granddaughter Tiffany; sister Kaye (Nigel) Arnold, Indianapolis, Ind.; brother John (Joan) Linden, Western Springs, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son Greg.
Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 8, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Merrill. Rev. James Horath officiated. Burial was in Snow Hill Cemetery, town of Scott. The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, served the family. Memorials may be given to Aspirus Comfort Care or St. Francis Catholic Church building fund.
